What is a sworn translator?
A sworn translator is a translator who is listed in the Dutch register For Sworn interpreters And Translators(Rbtv). A sworn translator is sworn in by a court of law. To become a sworn translator, the translator must meet a number of quality requirements for education, work experience and integrity. The translator must also do continuing education to maintain his or her status as a sworn translator.
What is the maximum number of words a page can contain?
At Beëdigd Vertaalbureau, we work with a page count to speed up the process. In some cases, however, a page contains so much text that it can no longer be counted as 1 page. Therefore, we have a limit on the number of words on a page.
A page may contain a maximum of 350 words. Does the page contain more words? Then we will count this as 2 pages.
By the way, the reverse also applies, so we also accept fewer pages if there is little or no translatable text on them.
